I can help you navigate through the process of recovery from trauma and loss.

I am Dan Cummings.  I came to the counseling profession later in life and bring a lifetime of diverse experiences including my own experience of trauma, loss and pain.  I know how to navigate through the process of recovery from personal experience as well as through academic education and supervised professional training.  I graduated from The Seattle Institute of Professional Psychology (Argosy University) in 2011 and have worked at Vashon Youth and Family Services and as a private practitioner since that time.

I am fully licensed as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Washington State.  Additionally, I am a National Certified Counselor (NCC), a credential issued by the National Board of Certified Counselors, one of the accrediting entities for continuing education in counseling psychology. I have completed basic training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) in February of 2014 and additional EMDRIA accredited advanced training in the application of EMDR to specific situations since then.  My primary mode of therapy uses EMDR.

I am a member in good standing of:
